Super nice looking fig Frank, even though everyone showed them again, you never get enough photo reposts I guess. Really nice color, shape and size. Also it is nice to hear that it tastes good. I have a 5 foot tree and have not let it fruit because I was too busy doing air layers on it but next year it can fruit at will.

That is some mighty fine camera work, Frank. Not to mention a very tasty variety, too. Mine died back to the ground this winter but continues to crank out good quality figs-even now.

SR is a great fig here too. However, mine also froze to the ground the last two winters and thus only a handful of figs have ripened very late in the season.

A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree. Currently Growing: a bunch of varieties.

Searching the forum, there are some older posts comparing Sicilian Red, Sal's Corleone, Aldo's, Palermo Red. Some have stated that they are the same fig, some think they are very similar. Maybe a 'family' like the 'Mt Etna' figs.
