Love the color of this fig, never seen one so deep purple. Looks like you are having a great fig season!

Super nice looking fig Frank, even though everyone showed them again, you never get enough photo reposts I guess. Really nice color, shape and size. Also it is nice to hear that it tastes good. I have a 5 foot tree and have not let it fruit because I was too busy doing air layers on it but next year it can fruit at will.

Congratulations Frank, that's a beautiful looking fig, enjoy it.
I got a small plant from a generous member, thank you Ed, maybe I'll get to taste it next year?

Vito

Does it ripen with the familiar mt etna varieties??

Frank
You have really developed quite the collection
Cheers

Thanks a lot Coop! : )

That is some mighty fine camera work, Frank. Not to mention a very tasty variety, too. Mine died back to the ground this winter but continues to crank out good quality figs-even now.

Frank that fig looks great. Would you mind sharing what camera you used to take that close up picture? It's a very good picture.

Congrats Frank on another very nice looking fig

Great pictures.  Looks like this could be another one to add to the wish list.

SR is a great fig here too.  However, mine also froze to the ground the last two winters and thus only a handful of figs have ripened very late in the season.

Tasty looking.. picture perfect photography as usual Frankallen!

I have to add this to my collection, is this the name it goes by?

Frank:  Beautiful fig and sounds amazingly good.  I can't see the name...

Man that's a very nice looking fig you got there!

Very nice Frank.  Beautiful pics too.  Reminds me of Sal's Corleone.

Searching the forum, there are some older posts comparing Sicilian Red, Sal's Corleone, Aldo's, Palermo Red.  Some have stated that they are the same fig, some think they are very similar.

Maybe a 'family' like the 'Mt Etna' figs.
