This fig was given to me from a sicilian friend of mine. He calls it a water fig. Dont know why, I been told it can be left to shrivel on the tree and contains a whitish sugar. It has a thick edible yellow skin, yellow flesh, very sweet like honey.

A nice white fig (for Martin...).Is the word "water" in the name, possibly because it is a "honey" type fig?
or maybe watery = juicy ?
Well whatever it is... it sure looks tasty!
Maybe it grows near the water? It looks really nice, like small candies you can pop in your mouth and eat a kilo before you noticed.
Looks like one of my Peter's Honey. Taste like water too!
thanks for your interesting comments guys.lolreason being a water fig its very juicy. juicy does not mean water. most unusual texture and taste..love it!
