What do you eventually want these rooted twigs to become? Will you continue to grow them in a large pot, or will you plant them in-ground? Do you want a multi-stem bush, or, single-stem "tree"? In five years, maybe even sooner, these cuttings will look vastly different, so think about the size of these plants in the coming future.
The twig in the cup could very easily become a multi-stem bush. The one in the pot could be trained into a tree by letting it grow to 4-5 ft tall, and then cutting it back to induce some branching towards the top end of the stem. These both, will be a work-in-progress. This forum has plenty of information about how to prune and train a fig tree, and so does You-tube.
Personally, I'd let them grow out, and do their own thing for a couple of years, in-ground, if possible. You could always prune back to the shape that you want later. Anything that you prune away could be rooted to make more trees. Make sure you prune the roots every few years, to keep the roots healthy and within bounds, especially if you plan to eventually transfer them into containers after growing in the ground. Control those roots! Have some fun with these babies! Decide their fate later....you got the power.
Hope this may help.
