Small red bugs on my VdB figs

Hello! I noticed some red bugs that appear to be sucking liquid out of my baby VdB fig crop...I think they might've caused one to drop. Any idea what they might be? They run away when I knock them off and don't appear to fly. I am in northwest Arkansas, never noticed them before.

Could not tell you if the bug caused it but I have noticed that out of all my fig trees only the vdb has all different bugs going to it and I don't understand why it's just the vdb and not on any others that I have.

Possibly mites? Ladybugs might help.

May be red spider mites.

any pictures available?

I'm on the Arkansas/Missouri border and I know the ones you are talking about, I think they are newly hatched Leptoglossus nymphs?

Yes!!! Thank you veggie girl that is exactly what they are! Have you ever had trouble with these bugs on your figs?

They don't seem to bother my figs, however my peaches are another story.
