Smith. Purchased from Just Fruits and Exotics in July 2011. These were harvested today (from a potted tree) before work sends me to the Northeast for a few days. As always, I need to sample a few more before I say anything conclusive however, I can that a) the stripes are nice and b) the texture is smooth, creamy but not pasty unlike any other fig I have ever eaten. Note. I ate these Smith just after eating the first Socorro Black of 2013 and the Smith was good. I like competition. Heaven and Earth willing, there are a few more Smiths that should ripen. Thus I look forward to giving them more time to wrinkle, ripen, and taste better. Though limited, there is good information about and excellent photos of Smith to be found on the forum [1][2][3][4].
