let those bad boys wither on the tree and darken with splotches. dreamy.

Nice pictures.  Not fully ripened yet.

Do you have a picture of the tree? What variety is it?

Looks good.  The excessive rain this year ruined most of my Smith crop.

It is a Smith fig. Here is a pic. of the tree, it's just over a year. It's a little cold sensitive, but I will see what happens next winter.

Perfectly ripe they do turn pretty ugly but I agree, even when not perfectly ripe they are pretty good. Your tree looks nice and healthy

It's growing well...can't wait till next year for it.  As long as I don't kill it over the winter. 

Smith fig,because of the unusual amount of rain we've had
this summer I had
to pick.Yes ,could have ripened more but were starting
to split.

Good to hear your plant is doing well. Out of all the varieties I have, Smith roots the best and seems to be very healthy.
