Snow Storm are ya freakin kidding me.

Hello everyone TONYSAC here 25 inches of snow in New York SERIOUSLY ? 5-6 foot drifts up to 40mph winds....Spring where are you ?

Well tony, that sucks man. Bundle up old man winter won't be hanging around to much longer. Make some snow icecream.

dang!  We ended up with about 4" which was still unexpected.

We didn't get it yet that's a stock photo but its coming and I bet its gonna look worse then that.
I will be sure to take pics around my house and post as long as I have power etc.

Get your flashlights and generators ready and firewood if you got a wood burner. Ya gotta keep your cuttings warm. I'm sure it's not going to be fun. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. GOOD LUCK!

Good luck to everyone in the path of this storm im sure if we are all smart about it we will be fine STAY HOME that's all you need to do stay off the roads and stay warm all the rest will fall into place and just like Tonycm said flashlights/generators/firewood etc and charge everything up cell phones auto battery booster packs etc etc etc.

Blame Al Gore :P

Believe it or not I've been waiting for it all week long as I have a couple dozen cuttings to set up today. :-)

What are you guys talking about????...its 75 degrees with clear skies....oh, yeah...its Florida in the winter.....

Seriously, good luck, stay safe and don't venture unless you absolutely have to....I'll be cutting the grass....lol...

love the snow have fun

I was hoping for the opportunity to get out the long and skinnies this weekend, but it's raining here.

We're getting a mix today. Rain, freezing rain then snow 1 to 2 inches. I guess we're lucky, could always be worse.

OK people in the North - YOUR IN THE NORTH!!!!  YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO GET SNOW IN WINTER!!!

The winters in NY -on LI are not like they used to be!  I grew up there and remember we had snow a lot more then they do these days.

I agree Joann,
When I was a kid in Connecticut,
we had to walk 2 miles to school in snow a couple feet or more deep.
Deep snow was always the norm back then.
After our family moved to a more rural place in the country,
A bulldozer would come up the road with the school bus right behind it!
They didn't close schools due to snow back then! or we wouldn't ever go in winter!

I watched all the weather reports, and all the panicked, blizzard warnings.  I dread what's coming.  When I saw that NYC might get socked with between 12"-18" of snow, I looked around for a rope and a chair!  I HATE the NYC winters.  I'm too old to shovel, and don't want to become a statistic....I got figs to grow yet.

Look at the first photo.  Beautiful, serene...peaceful, and, pristine-white...for about 30 seconds.  The next photo would show the virgin snow, stained with yellow dog piss, and include some frozen, NYC vermin.  Ah...the "Big Apple".....a, Picasso-in-Barf!  That's my city.

Just my self-indulgent thoughts.  Hey....I'm bored.

PS....I HOPE there is "Global Warming"...I could care less.  (Relax folks...the whole concept is nothing but a scam, and always was a scam).  Al Gore is laughing all the way to the off-shore banks...with our money!  Carbon-footprint...my ass!

Just dug 5 neighbours cars out of the snow and pushed a few others that were stuck. Shovelled the driveway three times already today! The pic by Tonysac doesn't actually have enough snow in it. Man we got dumped on today!! Grrrrr.....

Tony, must be a local phenomenon. My fig trees are breaking bud and showing leaves. There will be blossoms on the mulberries by Monday or Tuesday. Had to hurry up and finish pruning. Hope the ground hog was right, for your sake.

It was a beautiful sunny day here today. I'm lovin it.

Dan, did you have to walk uphill to school  too?

I truly am soooo sick of this NY weather I really want to move near my future in laws in florida maybe not right next door but near by.

Hey Anthony, I was in NYC yesterday and it was beautiful. Hang in there

Tony, come on down....just bring all your money you spend on snow shovels, blankets, boots, coats, fuel oil, etc, etc and leave it at the boarder.  What part of Florida are the future in-laws?

Hollywood dania beach US1 and Sheridan

Lower east coast...you won't even have to worry about frost down there....Fishing is great down there....I am on the west coast, east of Tampa....weather was great today.

Nope no frost just rain but that's Florida

Snow is great for protecting fig trees from the cold weather. I hope the snow stays for at least a week. We're getting a cold snap close to the single digits. I have many unprotected fig trees.
