Snowmageddon

Batten the hatches, my northern friends. i hope everyone stays safe and your fig trees weather the storm ok.

Thanks for the well wishes. Not only are we getting 2-3 feet of snow, there is an artic blast coming later this week into next week.

I hope everyone stays safe, warm and with power throughout the storm.

Yep... Metro NYC might see the most snow at one time ever.

I have an Uncle who lives in Cold Spring, NY and an Aunt in New Rochelle. They said folks are warning this one could be particularly bad.

Be careful.

Just heard northern NJ could get 20-30" at one clip. 6 inches did in my back on Saturday.

Yup, my older son lives in Woodside Queens and mrs Ks sister in Hicksville LI. Stay warm and be safe everyone. Our thoughts and prayers with you!

6 inches or so here in pittsburgh is expected. Not too bad compared to others, so I cant complain. Be safe out there guys.

18 - 24" for us in coastal Maine...my fault, I was just telling my wife that this winter has been a really easy one :)

My greenhouse collapsed last winter from 3" of wet snow. I rebuilt it, but just to make sure I nailed in another 100 nails with 1.25" washers today to hold on the cheap poly plastic walls. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!

Ditto! Especially my friends in New Jersey!

Good luck to everyone who might be affected by the coming storm.  I don't envy you at all.  Stay safe and warm.

Good luck everyone and stay safe

In the Albany area we're looking at about a foot of snow.  We would barely call that a snow storm up here.  The city is where they're really supposed to get blasted.  A couple feet should be interesting in the city.  Nothing like the 4+ feet of lake effect they get out in western ny sometimes, but i imagine the city will be harder to find places to pile it all up!
Good luck everyone!  Hopefully warm weather is just around the corner so i can finally send out some plants i have to send.  I noticed yesterday looks like my RdB didn't fair well in the garage.  Kinda suprised by that.

Not getting much here, maybe an inch or 2.  Stay safe and warm you guys up north!

Shailesh,

You are welcome. Stay warm.

Triple wrap your fig trees!!!!!!!

Snowing lightly here in Staten Island.  4-5" on the ground.  Wind is starting to pick up.  37F in the shed.

12-14 so far in Eastern MA. Snowing 2 inches an hour right now.

New GH still holding up. Will upload pictures when I can.

Kind of fizzled by me - 36 hours ago, it was supposed to be 36". About 12 hours ago, 20". When I woke up, looks like about 6".

At least 18 inches now, still snowing hard.

Oi - stay warm.

We went from a projected 12"-18" of snow, to and actual dusting this morning.  Glad the forecasters got that one wrong for us.
Good Luck to all of you guys up north, especially the Boston and more northern parts of New England.

Down in Southeastern Ct we got 15", give or take a little. Big key no one lost power.

I am glad it is not as bad as they projected in the NYC area.

I have a foot in northern queens. Still snowing a bit
