SoCal Nursery (ebay)

Has anybody else found one of their pictures being posted by SoCal Nursery (or anybody else) in their ebay listings?  I found one of mine.  I think it's kind of funny because it is a picture of the figs on my Melanzana tree (now deceased) which I took to illustrate how the figs looked before the tree aborted them.

James, you can report that.

Hi Bass,  I was thinking that I could bribe them out of some trees ;)

That sounds like a great idea, but who knows what you will end up with... Another Celeste instead of what they're calling the fig.

They're using my picture for several varieties... so who knows.

James
Just make sure that they don't consider it as a legal barter deal for future posting that you have been duly paid.

I was joking about bribing them... well, at least I was when I typed it.

James,

They use whatever pix they like, even if they are of something different than what they are selling. You can have Ebay take the listing down if it is your pix.

It is called VeRO.  See http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/programs-vero-ov.html.  You can e-mail them at vero@ebay

They have removed everything I have sent to them. often they just re-list it, but after a period of vigilance, they give it up. I also send the seller a note explaining they they are using my material fraudulently, esp when them pic is of something other than what it purports to be, and let them know that I will also contact Ebay and report their fraud.

I can't go into too much detail, but from their past listings I have a good suspicion where they material comes from, and quite likely it isn't want it is labeled as.

As many know im trying to experiment with black ischia and cant get enough scion or plants to do so and last season or season before last i forget, i saw ebay posting of many of plant including ischia black a 5 gallon one to my very surprise .It was the same Ebay ID as posted above.
Well you can only imagine my anxiety when i saw this but i asked for pictures and waited patiently. I did get the pictures that were several years old of the parent plant which was Huge very huge but the leaves were not correct none of them . I emailed some folks as well about this posting and  glad i did not waste my money.
Sometimes if things are too good to be true well they are.
Iv'e learned to just buy from members and or a reliable nursery only. Im very  lucky i only was  burned once with a plant thats was not what it was supposed from unknown Ebayer  and destroyed that supposedly Black Madeira and was able to get a proper one. Its just best to know whom your dealing with if useing ebay.
Still looking for ischia black scion and or plants to work with from a reliable source (forum member)  and the elusive fig tree that grows money   ;  )

Martin,

Why didn't you say your were looking for Fico Dollaro. I could have sent you one.

Jon,

Do you have Fico Grantero or Fico Franklinado?

do we know what the exchange rate is if we're trading these with our friends in the EU and/or Canada?

I had one, but got rid of it, after being infected by FMV.

Bass,

Seems to be going on allot with these trees nowadays.
Especially with the cultivar you have pictured, Every time I get one it seems it is infected FMV or RKN and have to get rid of it.

I thought FMV was Fabulous Monetary Value. Why would you get rid of that?

OK i come to the forum and was reading it with cig in mouth i take a drag and start choking .
Thanks for the laugh however painful it was .
Flat out i need to quit them another story however.

What i enjoy with many folks here is the sense of humor and the cheer it brings.
Thanks for that.
Bass if you ever run across the tree pictured again ................
