Some help with summer cuttings

Tom from Utah was kind enough to send me some cuttings from a celeste and some advice for starting the cuttings.  Tom, thanks for the cutting and advice.

I noticed today that there are little buds and 2-3 roots started (1/4 inch) on one of the cuttings. Should I pot it up? Or should I wait until there are more roots?

And if I pot it up, should I than leave it outside under shade, it's very hot/humid here. Or should I pot it, bag it and leave it outside in the shade?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

That's a little iffy. You could pot up now and you could wait another week or so. Definitely put them in the shade once you pot. Since you have multiples of one variety you could do both now, pot some and keep the rest in bags or whatever you have them in. Good luck!

Thanks BLB, will pot this one now and wait for the others to get more roots?

If it's hardwood cutting, treat it like ones from spring. If it's green, keep it covered until the cutting harden. Once green cutting starts to dry up, it's dead.
