some interesting pictures....

Hi
just wanted to share some of my summer pictures...
figs have started ripening already in some locations. i would show some more varieties but it is still early.

the pictures show:
1- black brazil-roxo de valinhos figs from a local tree.
2-the weight of these figs is pretty good :) they are very aromatic but very heavy and after 5 figs i was full and dizzy from the sugar...
3-a tree over an entrance in an orchard-grows from the house roof probably more than 50 years old.
4-in the same orchard -the tree grow in a soil full with lime. the water with the lime comes from a construction site-anyhow the soil is full with lime. and the lime dust even covers the figs....
the starnge thing is that the only ripe fig i found was on that tree covered with lime dust...
does anyone else found this peculiarity?
5-very gnarly tree..

will share some more pics later..

Thanks for sharing the pictures, like to ask in 3rd photo is that a mulberry branch to the left of fig tree covered in lime ?

Those figs look wonderful, can't wait until mine ripen up.

no way.... there are 300 trees i think there very desnly packed...
not even one mulberry there..
whoever planted these like figs :)
anyhow all the same variety green with red interiors... i am growing some and will have figs next year...

i think one out of five was fully ripe so there are cons for eating from public trees- if i wouldnt eat it the next pedestrian would so...
i enjoyed much better with my fully ripe brown turkey- which is better i think..?

god.. i need fig.. right now.. mine will take another month or so.. they most of them haven't got to their pre-swelling size yet.

actually the roxo is known i think for its wide period of ripening and can even more tah 1 main crop usually...
this is the only local tree with ripe fruits.. all the other are way way behind...

i dont think they are breba cause they were on new branches ..
