Hi Nelson,
thanks for sharing Dad's pictures .
One day when he gets to eat the figs ask him which he likes best, same with you.  ; )
Oh and if you can please post pictures of Colasanti when they get ripe im curious to see what inside looks like.

Martin will do, The Colasanti has taken a beating this year went from my office to my dads backyard he put it in full sun wich burned most of the leaves then it got hit with frost 3 nights in a row and because of that most of the main crop dropped. But I noticed this weekend a few are still hanging in there and theres allot more coming now on both my colasanti plants so im pretty sure I will get to eat a few this year. Martin If you want cuttings in the fall let me know.

Thanks Nelson for offer .
Im just curious about others palate weather they like dark types, light color types, sweet, rich, fruity etc.
Its fun to know what type of figs others enjoy.

Its like when i watched Ray's video and Ray Givens mentioned to the fella "taste this its one of my all time favorites."
So the fella tastes it and responds
" oh wow now that is rich"   it just made me feel good that a few folks agreed to what i taste and also enjoy as much. They were eating a fig from a Hardy Chicago plant.

Hey Nelson,

Nice work!
Seems you'll be picking some figs soon for sure. Looks like I 'll have to book a load to Toronto.

Martin , I like all of the above lol, but for the time being the trials will finally beggin and collecting will slow down for the next couple seasons unless I buy a couple acres and a greenhouse. If people knew I had over 70 fig plants and live in a condo they would think I was a nutcase lol

Rafed your welcome anytime.

Hi Nelson.

The trees you have seem to be pretty young maybe 2 years old,Do your trees produce a lot of edible fruit?I have a small harem of fig trees much like your pics along your dads garage Im hoping for better results this year, last years weather was cold and wet a good portion of summer. What time of the year do you harvest?Sorry bout all the questions but pics resemble my figs and It gives me hope.

Thanks
Geo

Geo my best producer is also my oldest the Bronze Paradiso its in its 5th season now, against the garage its mostly cuttings that I rooted this year and some that were rooted last season. So far the 2 year old plants are not showing any figs yet maybe next season.

Beautiful, all that hard work getting them through the winter will pay you and Dad back with a bounty of fruit

Thanks Sal, my father and I bumped heads for over a decade 2 stubborn Portuguese in the same house will do that lol. But the figs have been a wonderful bonding hobby for the two of us, That Unknown fig when my father bought it the guy said he had no idea what it was maybe a turkey is what he said lol leaves look Identical to that of my Bronze paradiso they both started growing figs at the same time and have the same habits so far both same shape and size right now and both produce twing on every branch 2 figs per node. It will be nice to see them ripen to see if they are indeed the same fig or not. I have more pics I need to upload it was raining here on Saturday so I did not get to take too many pictures but will be posting more pics of the different varieties I am currently growing.

Nel, congrats for all those figs. You are doing something right.

Thanks Paul, You see I took your advice and look at them now I also used alittle Composted Shep manure about a month ago and they just went nuts.

Hi Nelson,
its always nice to see your fig tree pictures , the plants look nice .
I look forward to seeing more pictures !
Is that apple tree in backround thats loaded ?

Thanks Martin, if you mean the one in the backround of the first picture that I posted today its a Pear tree its so loaded that It starting to look like a weeping Pear lol.

Nelson, you plants are looking well as are your Dad's. Looking like you are in for a bountiful harvest. Beautiful pictures, too.

Hmm i did not notice that tree in first picture with green fruit.
I meant the last picture with the red fruit tree in backround.

Thanks Tim, this year we actually have allot of figs hopefully they ripen in time, I have noticed allot of figs droping starting to wonder if they are not getting enough water.

Martin, that tree in the backround is my dad's plum tree.

Thanks for reply that solved my curiosity.
