Abebereira " Bebera Preta "

Will take some pics of my Fico Genovese once it starts to leaf out.

Looking good. What are you doing for light?

I have 4 flourescent lights in my office and when sunny I line them up by the window usually they get anywhere from 4hrs to 10 hrs of sunlight a day depending how clear the sky is, the rest is under flourescent lighting.

Today I got rid of six small plants to friends and family, 3 hollier 1 capelas 1 Desert King & 1 Brown Turkey.

>>> ... Today I got rid of six small plants ....
That is a rather not-so-nice way of putting it.
But I know/understand the feeling!
Congrats, on your extra rootings success and
wishing them all a happy caring new home.

lol you know gorgi now that I read it again it does seem harsh. But I did make them happy by giving them their very own fig trees. I just hope they take good care of them.

One reason I said that, is that many many times, I gave my
relatives some (well established) figs. About a year later,
asking about how they are doing ...
the answer was invariably, "they died"!

Gorgi this year I gave my uncle a nice Hardy Chicago plant actually I got 3 and gave him the nicest one. When I was there last weekend asked him to see it and I nearly cried that plant was past the point of no return. Gave my friend the Other hardy same thing, some people just cant have plants period. Those two bafoons got the plants I just gave away as replacements but I warned them if they kill one more then they will get no more from me.

Nelson20vt,

A couple of years ago I gave my cousin two small potted figs ( approx 1gal ).
When I asked her how were they doing she said she had forgotten them in trunk of her car for a few days.

The list goes on with the others.

Anyhow,
I think you are doing a really great job with the cuttings. Pictures are very nice. Plants look very healthy.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

Congratulations.Very nice looking plants. I will be rooting my Adriano's specials soon.

Thank you guys. I originally had 5 Hollier and about 6 Capelas I believe I only want one of each I am just keeping the two healthier ones right now so that I can keep one for myself and one for my father.

Hey Paul that special fig we were talking about that you got from Adriano is it around 1ft in height?
