I can't not believe this. I bought a RDB from a member here this past spring. Great little tree, kept it inside till it was warm out. Put it outside with all my others in mostly shady spot, It was doing great. I was going to pot up all my little trees once I had time to get a couple bags of good sunshine promix.  The last time I seen it was last Saturday. We had a Grad party for my daughter and moved all my plantings away from the party area except for the baby figs, just sitting in the shade under the evergreens . Well tonight I took the dog out and I see my baby is missing. It was in a unmarked tall white Styrofoam  cup. I looked all around my other and could not find it. We did have Att installed yesterday and my babies are sitting right were the wires we cut and rewired. The A T t guy was from another country, I could not tell from were but he did have an accent. So who stole my baby, Att guy? family/friends from party? Did the tree grow feet and walk away? Im so upset it not funny. Of all the trees sitting there, someone take the rarest one I have, go figure.  ;(

That's terrible.  Hopefully you'll find it somewhere else.  Maybe someone thought it was a used drink?

Check the garbage bags collected after the grad party.

Am hoping this was an honest mistake of some kind. Otherwise, it's despicable.

Frank, I feel for you. Maybe someone's conscious will work on them and they will come forward.
Ask some family members if they seen anything and do a double check of the area.

Gosh, so sorry!! Spread the word to the people at the party and the AT&T office.
That's all you can do. Tell them it most likely was mistaken for a discarded item
so as not to get them defensive. Have them "look around." It may show up.

I lost wanted tree due to rot btw... still bothers me but ill get them next year...

I used to have several pots line in front of my yard. One day, I saw garbage truck come and they just throw those pots in the truck and gone in a second.

I just planted a small rdb in my hedge. If it grows well I may be able to get a cutting or two this winter.

Sorry to hear about that Frank, major bummer. I'd like to think it was someone just trying to help out cleaning up after the party and tossed the cup.

A while back, on 2 separate occasions, me too thought that something similar had happened to me...
I searched and searched; hunted and hunted for these young figs that I knew I must had.

After a few more days; they both turned out to be in some remote-obscure spot in my back yard :-)
