Something you never get tired of seeing

You get a cutting or 2 of a variety you've been anxious to get... you check on it daily to see if there are any signs of life...... worrying if it will take or not...

then one morning......

Its a good start to the day :)

first sign of root against the cup.. that's always nice see :)

Nice job Tyler

You are most correct! Always nice to see those roots and know things are underway. Did u plant directly into the cups with perlite, or did you first get the roots growing in sphagnum moss or some other way?

Keep the updates and pix coming.

Absolutely a great sight to see.  I've decided to wait to start my cuttings between Christmas and New Year's this year.  I'm getting anxious to see fig roots and little leaves emerging.

Always a pleasant sight, nice work

Hi Mark. I put the cutting directly in the cup with 70/30 or so perlite/vermiculite then watered and put the cups in a large clear tote sitting an inch over the floor register. The temperature in the tote ranges from 25-30C depending on how much the furnace runs and the humidity stays nice and high in there. That method has always worked the best for me.

Tyler

Congratulations!

I've been sticking mine in open containers of sphagnum moss under a daylight bulb. The sign of success for me is when it begins greening up, as that seems to be the sign that it's putting out roots with my methods. I currently have one cutting putting out leaves in the middle of December.
