SouthEastern Fig Gathering

Gloria, thank you once again for the idea and for organizing this gathering. It was nice to meet again some of the people from previous years but also to meet new fig enthusiasts and make new friends. If we want to change the scenery a bit next year (sine the last 3 were held around Charlotte), I wouldn't mind driving to the beach (Wilmington or the surroundings) for a weekend. We can have an unknown fig crawl (some people have bar-crawls).

All the best!

Gloria, thanks for hosting the fig gathering. It was wonderful to have the chance to meet and talk with other fig aficionados in the area. Nice also that most people left the gathering with a new fig variety to explore.  Thanks for all you hard work and the great bar-b-que with a most delicious fig sauce.

You were very missed!! I know your ears were burning, so many times it was commented on that Dennis would be the person to talk to about this or that!!!

Add me to the group of folks thank you you Gloria, for putting together a great event.  I just got home after my fig loop a few hours ago.  It was a great time, great getting a chance to meet with every one and swapping some plants!

Hello
For those who got the fig tree labeled frank, here is one I just picked. It probably could wait a day or 2 but sometimes you get excited. It was a lighter purple from ones that I have seen and the taste was ok but nothing special. But not bad for something that was a stick in my refrigerator in February. I know it may look entirely different when it matures but any guesses so far.
