Sounds like we should have a great turn out!! As I mentioned before there will be a BBQ main course for the lunch if people could bring sides that would rock!! Any fig dishes get a special thumbs up! As I have mentioned before there is a pool, and we will have the club house that has table and chairs and a full kitchen. Any one that would like to donate items to be used as door prizes PM me. I hope we can do some trading and we still have the cool dirt guy coming to talk. I recently had a chance to meet some one from the USDA and will approach him about maybe talking on the dos and don't of import. I also plan to try to get someone up from Clemson arg program.  If anyone has some ideas for games and activities, "blind fig tasting" "name that fig"....feel free to give me a holler. If there is anyone that lives near by and would like to help me set up that would be wicked cool too!!

Greetings all, doing a bit of a head count just so I can let the hubby know how much Q to make, looks like 12+ from here and I have a few local figgy friends that are excited to talk and eat figs.
Remember there is will a pool and fishing ponds at our disposal so the kids will have stuff to do. If your feeling really generous and you have some older ones, you can send them off to Carowinds, which is less than a mile down the road..
Looking forward to putting faces to all the friends!!

It's on a Sat... kids can learn about figs and container growing!!

:) I'm  a teacher and it'd be hard to drive up from Florida after work on Friday and back home on Sunday.  We have a new principal, so I dont know how cool she'd be with me taking a day or two off the second week of school --  :)

Super.  Are we going to do a raffle where everyone brings a fig plant?  We did that at Bass's fest. and it was fun.
