I have had a few figs split during my rainy season, but they were all ripe or close to ripe figs.
My last standing Black Madeira fig that had a .005 percent chance of ripening just split on me.
Never saw a small green unripe fig split before, We didn't have any rain, and I was giving it very little water to ease it into dormancy
What gives?.
