sprouting figs but no roots or leaves

I have fig cuttings of an unknown variety (maybe Adriatic) in a shoebox with spaghum moss.  All 9 have sprouted figs  from the nodes but no sign of roots or leaves.  Should i knock off all the figs and keep them in the box? or plant them into pots?
