Squirrelinator...works great!

Yeah!!! I'm now 3 squirrels and 1 rabbit down...don't have a clue how the rabbit managed to get into this trap but it did. I used just a touch of peanut butter for bait which lured 2 squirrels. I used sunflower seeds to catch a third (experimenting). Wild bird seed got the rabbit, no squirrels. Last year I used the bait from the County Ag but they have stopped selling it so I've move on to other management techniques.

I think I finally got rid of the squirrels in the front under my driveway for now...moving to the back hill to slow their migration to the frontyard. My neighbor's boys use a pellet gun or bb gun for the one's on their side. :-)

Gophers got the Giant Destroyer gas bombs in their tunnels yesterday...I need a couple more packages. It never ends does it?

I also have had good success with this but never captured more than one at a time.  the dunk tank is a handy addition.

Good job Sue.
Squirrels can't seem to resist peanut butter. Wrens and a lot of other birds like it also, but with the live trap you can just let them go.
Go over to a site called $quirrel Dog Central, they have some good recipes for those little rascals.  ((;
You can even find some good dogs there too.
Good Squirrel hunt n
Dave.

Hey Sue, I remembered a trick for woodchucks that works and might work for ground squirrels as well. Used(scooped free of poop) cat litter gets dumped down their hole and they will abandon it, if they cannot cordon of that section and dig another entrance. I also knew someone who caught their neighbor taking a dump down a groundhog hole! At least that is what he said he was doing...

The baby woodchucks are out on there own now and one tried to move into my carrot patch, eating as he dug his first short little hole. He was very lucky to not be home when I served my eviction notice with a grub hoe!
