St.Pio

Can anyone help me id this fig was given to me by an Italian a couple yrs ago.He called St.Pio It's from Italy It's round yellow and dark red pulp.I could barely understand him great gentleman and was kind to share with me.Thanks guys for your help.Will post pics when it ripens for me.

Well i cannot help you im sorry but i wonder about its old heritage and travels thru time, if only they could tell us.

Apparently named after St. Pio i take it and here is some information regarding
St.Pio as i think its worth reading at least for some.

Thank you Martin.My family and I love St.Pio and was shocked when there was a fig named after him.It maybe that a Italian family had a great devotion to St.Pio and named there fig after him.
