Marius,

Is that a Mt. Etna type fig? What is the history of this one? What makes the flavor unique?

[A] small to medium dark purple fig with outstanding berry flavor. It comes from a town in Italy called Cascia and was named after a saint from that village. This fig bears for me around August 15th here in Michigan and thru September.

Dominick is right,i couldn't find the right word...berry flavor.Thanks.

This fig was given to me from my Italian neighbor of mine that I met 4yrs ago and I love this fig it taste like raspberries very good and very productive.Very nice Marius glad you like this fig enjoy.

Marius it looks like an awesome fig. Congrats.

Thanks for the pics Marius, I literally just got this fig. It is still in the garage riding out the Hurricane. I re-potted it and tomorrow it will go outside and start its trial here. How does it handle rain Marius? Is yours in-ground or in a pot? From your pictures the eye does not look very large.

looks great!

I love how the inside looks like jam... must be really delicious.

Charles, mine is 2 years old,in 18 gal pot.As for the rain,...we had a vey dry summer,i am not sure how is gonna handle rain or too much rain.

I just now ate my first ever St. Rita fig from a yearling tree. It was a small fruit, soft, not totally ripe, but oh so gooooood! This fig was very high on my wish list last year - the photos of it at Jon's site and this thread just knocked me out. And now the taste does too. A real keeper. Merci!

Wait till next year!!!!

I got a single fig from my young tree this year. Excellent flavor, tasted like a mulberry.

Any word on how cold hardy it is? Kerry listed one on eBay.

I can't wait for mine to produce! Those look outstanding.  I hope they do well in the rain because we get plenty of that up here in the pnw. Thanks for sharing.
