Starting a wish list..

I already have a few small fig trees. I would like to get a few more. I'm trying to root some cuttings now but I learn something new everyday. I want a better setup before next year for rooting cuttings. If anyone has any extra or duplicate small trees I would like to buy a few from my wish list. I love reading and learning off this forum. Thanks
Here is my list:
Sals
Alma
Hardy Chicago
Improved Celeste
Rdb
Lsu gold or purple
White Marseilles
Brunswick
Thanks Erick

eBay is a very good place to start looking for cuttings...

Well I'm still trying to root my first cuttings but its been difficult this far. I've been reading and trying to do a better job. But it seems like mold is my biggest problem.

Do not bother with cuttings, buy starter trees.
Next year you will have a lot of your own cuttings for experiments.
IMO............

Well that's what I was thinking, if someone had more than they needed or done really good rooting some cuttings. I would buy a few..

Hi Erick,
If you can get cutings now, start them in a pot with potting soil from the nurseries in a greenhouse in the garden. It works just nicely and no flies (gnats) around, no humidity built up in the pot - just all easy.
I started cuttings end of last month like that, and two are greening up - no adapting them to outside sun either :) .
Some others I just stick them outside in the garden, and for now they look good ... I've always done it this way, and it works wonders !
The only problem I see, is finding a seller now, since trees are already waking up now .

Basically I now use a Bleach solution and haven't had any issue with mold. I'm also brand new to Figs.

Erick,
Where do you live ?

I'm from eastern Kentucky.

Stick your cuttings in a small black pot of sand or soil. Keep damp. In several weeks they will bud and start growing. I tried all the indoor stuff, it never worked for me. The gnats always killed them. But starting them simply outdoors works 90% of the time for me. Try it, it is easy and you will have a 2-3 ft tall tree by the end of season.
