Stella fig

I have read about Stella fig and it seems it is 3 to 4" long while the tree is a dwarf (6-8ft): is it possible? That seems HUGE!
Does anyone grow it or has first hand information about the eye and in which zone it grows best.
I have never seen it in nurseries.
Sal

Hey Sal I love Stella. I grow mine in a pot. Mine does not look like a dwarf It's a vigorous grower for me. I prune the heck out of it. Here in Michigan zone 6 Stella does awesome I'm pretty sure it would do good in the ground. It is a very productive fig that ripen late August thru September. I hope this help Stella is a definite keeper for me. They are about 2-3 inches long green fig with dark red pulp tight eye. Enjoy

I have a 1 year old from cutting in a pot here in NJ zone 6B.  It is on par with all of my other 1 year cuttings.

A friend is growing it, but the tree is still too small to tell if it is a good variety.  One Green World has it.

Very good cultivars in most climates, included mine.
Of course there will allwayes be a certain locality that will not ripe or grow well, but to this point,I never herd anybody complaining about this cultivar doing bad.
I only herd one complain about one grower that had a Stella specimen that was infected with a bad case of Fig mosaic virus, and did not grow or performed right.
The person got cuttings from my healthy specimen and now is very happy and had his first ripe fruits this year, here in NJ
