stem weakness on cutting please help

woke up this morning and the 2 leaves on my abebereira cutting have drooped.  the green stems holding them have become very week. the leaves look fine but the stems holding them have lost their hardiness. did i over water it? Also noticed small flies keep going to this particular rooted cutting. please help

To me it sounds like over watered but you may want to post pictures.  Do you have a meter to check the moisture & ph?  This is something very useful that a member here recommended (Chucklikestofish).

If the stems are limp the cutting is toast. You overwatered and that also leads to gnat death. Sorry it happens to the best..

There can be many reasons why the leaves are hanging like this (overwatering, not enough water, to hot,...). If it's only this plant, than it's not due to the room temperature. Otherwise all the other cuttings would have drooping leaves too. My best guess: too much water.

These hanging leaves will probably drop soon. But don't worry, it's not too late to rescue your plant. Find the cause of the problem and act quickly. If the soil is too wet, then you can consider repotting in a drier medium. place your repotted fig in some kind of greenhouse (even a clear plastic bag will do) to keep the air humidity high during the first week, but keep the soil on the dry side. New leaves will start to form. Good luck!

Sometimes when no roots grow and only top growth that happens. The top growth used all resources in the cutting. It probably is a goner.
Yeah try cutting them off at this point.

Pull off leaves and put a clear bag over it

Some cuttings put out leaves and shed them soon after, and then move on to rooting and reflush later on. Beyond that it could be several of the things mentioned above..
