Still time to do air layers?

Zone 9a

I hope so. Just did 6! lol

Should be fine. If the weather gets too cool and they lose their leaves, cut them off, and bring them into a greenhouse of warm place to finish rooting over the winter.

So you just cut it off below the air layer and prop it up in a warm place?

I did one today in zone 7b

Two on RDB this weekend in my zone. All good.

I have two on my VdB that are taking awhile to root(been 5 and 7 weeks), but I think I will be taking them off in the next few weeks, and I'm 6b.

Great, thanks all.  Appreciate the quick responses.

Charles,

If the are fully rooted, I pot them up, usually in a 2g pot. If they are not fully rooted, es, I just put them inside a pot so the will stay upright, and put them ion the greenhouse. At that point they are treated more like a cutting, that you are rooting. The difference is, they are usually callused and/or have some roots, so they do much better than a bare cutting.
