Stop by for a visit

Hi all,

As expected things are crazy busy but still alive and kicking.  This Saturday is the nursery where I board my orchids is having an open house and I will be answering questions on figs (not an expert but can handle the basics) and orchids (good bit more than the basics).  They will  have a few exotic figs (anything not Celeste or Brown Turkey) that I started for them.  If your in near Salisbury, NC and wish to come you would be welcome.  The nursery is beautiful and has some neat things and since it is open house there will be food (Brats I think).  You can look it up using "The Garden Greenhouse, Salisbury NC.

The greenhouse project is progressing.  The neighbor has a Bobcat and her husband is encouraging her to help me with my project so she won't dig up anymore of their yard for gardening projects.  Hoping to catch up with her so we can look things over.
Cut down more trees over Memorial Day weekend and had great plans which where foiled after a nasty bout of food poisoning? bad seafood? knocked me out for about 48 hours.
The figs are most growing gang busters.  I'm thinking about putting a few in the ground this year.  One is my Nero 600M, Black Bethlehem and LSU Gold.  I don't know how cold hardy the Raspberry Latte would be but man that thing grows like a weed when it gets going.
Wow this was way longer than I planned since all I planned on saying was Hi to everyone.

Happy growing.
Expect pictures when construction starts.

Hi Schaplin,
In which usda zone are you in ?
Show us pics of the cut down trees ... They were taking the space of fig trees; they deserved the chainsaw !
Last weekend, I just trimmed back some elder berry trees and lilacs as well. They were invading the space dedicated to some fig trees .

I guess your neighbor never badmouths his wife ... She has the bobcat ... Is he crazy ?
