Storm Recovery

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have helped with

my recovery. Last May 11, a micro burst of 125 miles and several tornadoes
literally destroyed a good part of my life time fruit collection. I salvaged about
50 figs out of my collection of 126. A good part of my peaches, apples, pears,
O. persimmons, grapes and others were lost.

It took a long time to recover mentally, but now I'm looking forward to spring
and a new beginning.

Again, many thanks for the support and help.

Jack

May your garden plants and other things lost in the storm be replaced with more beautiful things in abundance and the physical safety of your loved ones.

Good to hear the good news. May the season of 2010 be great for you.

Glad you were able to salvage many(and your sanity). May you have a banner year for 2010, with many more to follow. Great things are ahead.

Jack I know how you feel. I'm just getting over similar situation myself. Hurricane Gustav violated us, or that's what it feels like. It put us out of our house for 6 months plus hurt us emotionally. We are slowly recovering and finding our place in life again. I'm sorry you lost so many trees but at least a few survived as did you. I wish I could fill the gap left in you orchard but all my trees are sticks or freshly rooted. As time passed if ever you hear me talk of a fig and you would like it please drop me a line and it will be heading your way promptly. Best of luck. "gene"

Glad you're on the road up, Jack.
