Is this fig really called a Strawberry Fig? If not, does anyone know what it is called? There is a shot with the leaf in there also. She's a beauty!  Check out that gorgeous red flesh!

Thanks, Bass.  Is the Verte the same as the Green Ischia or similar?  Do you grow both to compare?  I see that some people call in the Strawberry Verte.  Would this be it's real name?

They say they're the same fig, Green Ischia, Verte, Strawbery verte, Strawberry fig, and a few others... I'm growing all of them just in case they're not the same fig.

"Strawberry" is a very generic name for many fig varieties with red interiors, so it is not all that specific or definitive. A local farm stand even sells Celeste under the "Strawberry" name.

I have some green ischia cuttings rooting well. cant wait to taste the fruit a few years down the road they look wonderful in all the pics i have seen. the only figs i have eaten was brown turkey (not sure it is a brown turkey as the color is differant from the pics) which was very rich and sweet. hady chicago wich i like and purple magnolia wich was very bland but it was a first year fruit on a first year tree so time will tell with that one. my desert king trees should have fruit this year as well. and i have several dif kinds going in ground in spring (thanx guys) about 17 new ones for me.
