Delicious Strawberry Jam Figs.

Looks good.  Can you tell us more about it?

The small fig has moderate sweetness and a strong berry flavor that is somewhat like strawberry jam. It is always a hit with guests who visit my orchard.

The story goes that the tree source material was from the Riverside experimental station before it was destroyed. I am not sure what the original name was in Riverside. Maybe someone here can identify it's original name.

Figsation, it looks like an interesting fig indeed.  You might as well post images of the leaves as well - it's likely people here will be able to make an identification.

Igo?

Wonderful! It looks delicious. Will you be offering cuttings the next time you prune? If love to try it out.

Rewton: Fig leaves are variable in size. Many are spade like and some are not.

JD: I wasn't planning on sending out cuttings due to time constraints, but If I do I will keep you in mind.

I just bought a 5 gallon Strawberry Jam air layer from Exotica Nursery in Vista, CA. I got to pick a few figs from the mother tree which is currently about 12' x 12'. The figs were just like the first photos in this thread: dark exterior with strawberry red interior. My Unk. Anna's (possible a Strawberry Verte) tastes more like strawberry than this one, but then the ones I picked today were not as ripe as they could have been. I couldn't resist since the air layers were made from nice thick branches with close node spacing.
