Wednesday we were 41F at night, today it is 80F this afternoon.

NC? Wow

Observation:

When a member makes a post about the not great weather in their region Jon seems to usually chime in with the SD forecast...

FWIW, 70 and sunny in San Jose today. There is a reason people put up with high taxes and dysfunctional government out here.

Well, I got smart and pulled all of my Green Paradise and Green Italian figs in last week before the bad weather hit (20 degree temps). Now we got snow! Argh!!!!

Rub it in Jon.....just rub it in! You know my zone (Charlotte) changed from 7 to 8 last year. One day, southern Callie may change! Mark my word!!! Enjoy it now!

Not to mention the very recent Russia not-so-little meteor (big explosion!);
(a little reminiscent of the 1908 Tunguska event)
and, and, and,
the same exact day( unrelated) a near miss
(closer than our TV earth orbiting satellites)
from a much bigger asteroid!!!???
(was something similar the downfall of them dinosaurs?)
Who knows? ... one day we are here- then we may be not...
...enjoy a good/beautiful life while you can...

Well said Gorgi
For there is only one guarantee in life.

Yes, generally accepted that impact of large Chicxulub asteroid caused climactic event that sent bunches of dinosaurs to extinction, leaving ecological niches vacant to be occupied by guess who. Recent competing theory that volcanos near now Mumbai did it. Volcanoes have been known to affect weather globally, so this is feasible. Where were figs 65,000,000 years ago?

Actually two(2) 'g' things:

... 'death' and (them ever increasing - big government) 'taxes' ...

We get 55F and rain for Tuesday.

We can still ripen Brebas well here so Jon doesn't quite have paradise wrapped up, he's about 1-2% short for being in Paradise.

Had Thundersnow in Charlotte today. Very unusual but I'm glad we got a good layer of snow. Without the protection a lot of the plants that are budding now would have been in for real trouble when it dips down to 20 tonight.

Here we've had
Increasing darkness around sundown.  Gradually spreading lightness toward daybreak.

Thundersnow is cool, Addison.

Mike   central NY state, zone 5

p.s.  It's getting late, but I think I might go move a couple of rooted cuttings from their cups into gallon pots.  A Sal's Corleone and a Maltese Falcon.

yupe, snow in nc. and lot of people had hard time understanding what that white stuff falling out of the sky was all about. most kept to their house and never set food outside. i had fun driving around since no one else was on the road. it's was fine, no accumulation what so ever :)

Nice Dennis !

Weatherman  said 0% chance of snow last night . This am 3" of fluffy snow on the ground .oops

It's been 70s and low 80 the past couple days.

In a few days, a cold front is moving in with maybe light snow in our local mountains. That's cold for here...
