Hi everyone TONYSAC here hope everyone had a good day today just wanted to share my apple tree air layer from last season and an air layer in progress of a tree my dad wants to duplicate 

i did it last march the same exact way i just did the fig tree left my dad in charge of watching it this is when i went to florida and did a little baby fig tree at the same time i came back 2 months later and the bag was full of roots had my dad cut it and he planted it at the end of last season but i actually just used potting soil plain old cheap 2 dollar bag of potting soil and im trying that other monster of a tree to get an air layer out of that one im also doing a persimmon tree that i actually started last season i thought it wouldve froze but the branch is still alive and well and plenty of moisture in the bag we will see what happens there

Oh yeah i had no clue thanks for the info i have another tree i call it the weed tree my dad took a piece of the tree from his other house (next door ) about 20 yrs ago but no one seems to know what it is maybe ill post a pic asking to id it 

 Hey noss you should def do a couple extra this way you can try and graft yourself i cant wait to get all the cold hardy figs i can and make a huge grafted fig tree with multiple different figs on it that will be interesting one tree and multiple different figs  hmmmm i wonder if anyone has attempted this before and if it worked ??
