Just wanted to throw this idea out there since I've noticed recently a good number of threads pertaining to requests for plants and cuttings.
I think it's great to have a community on a forum where this sort of giving and trades takes place. I've been a benefactor of the giving nature of the forum and have given as well. I want that to continue and grow. We all benefit from a community like this.
As the forum grows and more new members join, I had a thought that it might be valuable to have pinned threads dedicated to trading cuttings or starter plants. These threads are typically only of interest to the asking and responding parties, and so aren't really relevant to the other discussions going on. If there were separate threads for these requests, then that conversation could be focused on that activity.
The downside to this suggestion is that others might not make it a habit to go in and check those separate threads for those making requests, and therefore those requests would go unnoticed.
Anyways, just wanted to throw it out there. I'm not intending to cause any controversy or even hard feelings from those making these requests. I don't own the forum but I'm certainly interested in seeing it grow and thrive. Part of the reason I'm asking is simply because I've thought of making requests for cuttings and starter plants as well but have been hesitant because the thread wouldn't pertain to the entire community.
Thoughts? Criticisms?
