Sultane vs Sultane de Marabout

Can anyone tell me if these are the same fig, please?

Hi Kelo these are different varieties.

Sultane is a black fig from France, bears two crops.

Sultane de Marabout or simply Marabout is a smyrna variety from North Africa.

There is also a middle eastern Sultani.

Thank you for the info. I'll give that one a miss then.

Sorry, I wasn't ignoring your answer I just didn't see your reply in the mass of other emails.

No problem Kelo, i got that!

I have a Sultane that has not yet fruited, i can say that the leaves have 5 or 7 deep lobes.

I have two big Sultane trees in 25gal pots. They have medium size(30g-40g), round, jet black figs. Mostly 5 lobed leaves. Pictures of tree and stagnant stage fruit.
