Hi, people, anyone here also growing figs where we get around nineteen hours of daylight per day in summer? Any problems with your plants; fruiting, rooting etc.? In another couple of weeks I'll be able to read a book at midnight with no help from a man made light.
I've grown them for months under lights 24/7. No issues that I've seen. They grow and fruit normally.
OK, thank you.
I agree with Steve,Once as a trial, kept lights (standard fluorescent shop lights) on 12/7 (6pm-6am), all of September, and 24/7 1 Oct-1 April, no dormancy, no problems.
Thank you. The reason I ask is that I have plants that behave very differently, according to how much light they get, and was wondering if figs had any positive or adverse behaviour.
