Today, we almost matched a record of 100 degrees in Charlotte. Although we are getting daily pop-up showers across the Charlotte area, it hasn't been raining in my zone! The ground is so hard and dry. Some of my trees are getting a few yellow leaves at the base due to all the heat. I've been watering twice a day!

About 3 weeks ago, I gave my trees some dry fertilizer and now they look beautiful in the ground. Out of 60 trees, only one has a mild case of FMV. The others have figs on and with this heat, the figs are ripening fast. Today I picked:
Don Fortis
Owensboro
Improved Celeste
La Goccia d'Oro
Florea
Marseilles White
Italian Honey
Enrico L
Smith
Red Lebanese
Black Jack
Texas Blue Giant

But it's the heat that's making the figs ripen fast. More to come.....
