surprise!!

Although I requested cuttings about 3 weeks after the "deadline", I was surprised to receive today from UCD
a VdB DFIC 63, a Black Madeira DFIC 144 and 3 Armenian DFIC157.
And just when I thought my first rooting adventure was over (73% success)..........Here we go again.

You are a rich rich!Good luck.

I didn't think I'd get my order either. I was ok with that because I have many to work on...trying to get them to survive the hardening process

Here we go again ;)

Good job Rich. BTW, my NDC is about history.

Congrats.  In mid-December I inquired about trying to identify a variety I remembered from my childhood and Howard at NCGR gave me a guess and suggested that I grow it.  I told him I'd order it next year since I was too late and he told me to go ahead and order and they'd try to get to it.  I went ahead and ordered it as well as one more and I received both last week.  I wouldn't count on getting anything ordered after the cut-off but it looks like they'll use the cut-off date to help postpone any orders that they just down have the staffing to accommodate.

I found it surprising that the date was November 1.  I was at a pomegranate tasting on November 3rd and there was no mention of the date change and the pamphlet that was sent with our orders still shows the date as December 1.

Sometimes, we all may be better-off not to brag/compromise/etc about certain events in public...

To make it clear, I certainly was not bragging.  Howard just said they would try to do what they could and I made no special plea for help.  I wish they had announced their deadline change well before the fact but I was pretty swamped with farm work and chestnut shipping until mid-November anyways.
