Surprise rooting

I totally forgot this bin on my shelf for about 2 months, and surprised to see a tree in there.

Nice surprise!

Congrats on the surprise tree.  =)

What a nice surprise to find. Do you remember what it is?

Yes, I wrote on the cutting. It's Rosemary's purple.

Fantastic! So much better than the alternative.

Wow those are some serious roots.  Did you have the cuttings in straight peat moss?

It's in coconut coir.

Hi Jimmy
I'm curious about the coconut coir. Is this what you always use? Tell us about it
Coop

I have used various media. coconut coir is not the best. It tend to retain too much water. Even potting soil will become compact over time. It's best to mix either potting soil or coconut coir with coarse perlite or fine bark.

Thanks.  I will have to give that a shot.
