Nice and healthy looking Pete .

thanks pattee. i heard great things about this one. i'm looking forward to it.

Pete, you're gonna love it! The first I heard about it was a few years back when VS talked about it. It's a brown fig with a deep red flesh, very sweet. Let the fig wrinkle and droop before you pick them. My trees bare in late August. You can't eat just one!

I am with Dennis on this one .
It has done very well here in NH.
To me it is like you took an excellent rich Hardy Chicago and added more complex flavor notes that moved into greatness.

I have two rather large cuttings from a member here.  No roots yet, but lots of initials.  I decided to cup them up because they have so many emerging shoots.  We'll see how that goes!  You have all made me really hope they give me figs!!

Suzi

sounds like it's really good variety. per martin, HC is very rich in taste, and i'[m hearing it's even better than HC. can't wait :)

Pete,
Congratulation.  The cutting looks good.  Tacoma Violet really sounds like a promising early season variety.  If cuttings survive here , I am hoping it will perform well in Pacific Northwest.

Nice little tree you got there Pete. I have few cuttings my self (Thanks to Marius) and they grow like weeds.
