Taking care of the Mess outside the Greenhouse

Hi
As one of my friend's said "You are really busy" and they are right.  I think they were appalled at how big a mess I have.  Despite trying really really hard things are not really where I want them to be which is why I have been staying off the forum.  It is hard to read about all those interesting figs and not get a few more...  Recently Dennis had a close encounter of the serpent kind.  I happen to be a reptile person from way back and used to breed and keep many lizards tortoises and frogs.  My mailman couldn't figure how I was using a couple thousand crickets every week.  He though I really liked to fish.  Anyway Dennis story made me think maybe it was time to clean up and make my work areas less attractive to wild snakes or at least make it easier to see them first.  So I took a break from working inside and moved outside.     So here is before
1.jpg  2.jpg  Yes there are fig trees and Paw Paws in that mess and I had already been cutting back for an hour.
3.jpg  Now I can see what I have.
4.jpg  What a difference a weed wacker makes.  Found a number of fig trees.  Now to finish up.  Happy growing!

Nice beautiful country you have there. I grew up in the desert, that's all I know. The first time, I lived in snow. I said to myself, "Why would you live in snow"... Lol!!!

Nice setup you have there with all that space.  Now there's more room to grow more ;-)

Been living with snow and subzero wind chills all my life and am still asking myself why.  I'm not the adventurous type.  I think I passed my recessive adventure gene on to my daughter.  She's a little globe trotter.

Hi,
That reminds me of my gardenhouse...
I managed to clean it inside ... Now to clean the outside... That would make some free space for one potted tree ...
And it really needs to be done ...Those Now Old seeds and Old wood need to be sent to the trash ... Will have to ...

Looks like there is room cleared up for more figs.

Looks very nice!
Is there figs in the greenhouse?
How are you keeping them cool in the greenhouse this hot year?

You did a great job cleaning outside! What does the inside look like? Can we see whats insude your greenhouse?

Ok back on to answer a few of the questions.
First JDS yes I clean the outside and get behind on the inside.  Not to mention the cuttings that were still not potted up.
Some is room for more figs but more importantly space to start planting some of the trees.
Most all the figs are outside however there are still a few inside.
The greenhouse is a little cooler than outside in the sun.  There is natural shade and aluminet shade cloth.  I keep a fan going all the time which pulls air from the shaded side.  I try and wet down the floor often.  Recently it has been very humid so that hasn't helped that much.  Ready for this heat wave to break.

Will post some inside pictures on a new thread

Gee thanks Alan...I think.  It most likely comes from having about 2000 orchids that lived in transition (in 3 locations and two states) while I cleared land, had a greenhouse built, installed a heater mostly by myself including digging the footer in Jan in the dark when I couldn't find a person to do it for me.

Nice looking greenhouse, what zone are you in? Interested in seeing your figs as well ;)

Alan, had me cracking up with his comment!  LOL!!

Sharon, now is the time to plan for heating it.  Tell me again how you heat your GH?  I'm switching to propane this year.  Got the heater last year and will be installing it in September.
