- Is there no one left to forgive the "not be spoken of " if he genuinely repented!
- The burial next to ones father is possible only for one of the brothers. I am just curious if the custom applies to the first one who passes away or the first born son?

Ottawan, believe me the decision is never lightly taken. It was 50 years in the making and all parties made the choice of their own freewill.
"Next to" is figurative but when I go to tend the graves of seven generations that have preceeded myself I can do so by visiting only three sites. Two paternal line and one on the distaff, though truth be told the distaff for the most part is also found in the paternal plots.
Family to me is more than this generation alone, as a senatchie [gealic; oral historian] kith and kin still live on through me. Ten centuries worth still live in my memory and it is that memory that I honor in how this simple life is lived.
