Really, landscapers throw away piles of big beautiful pots. I was at the landfill last week and watched as the dozer crunched dozens of 25 gallon pots and some larger. I managed to smile at the attendants and nab about ten but it is sad. Save the pots!

Last year I got around thirty 3 gallon pot from a landscaping nursery free for the asking. A few weeks ago I call them up looking for some 1 gallon pots and was told to come get them. When I got there I was shown a pile of about 500 and was told to take all I wanted. I ended up with 300. He thanked me and told me to come get more if I needed any. I told him if I had good success I might be looking for 3 gallon pots by the fall, and he said come get them. I asked them if they recycle the pots and he said no, eventually they will go to the dump.
