Holy crap those are huge leaves!! Is that in an aquarium? What kind of fruit? Green or black? Is it yummy? Fruiting pictures? How oldIis that tree?

It is Xinjiang Fig tree. It has the best taste in all fig trees in China. For the first picture, it was one year old.

Nice

I wonder if aerating the water speeds up the rooting process? It's fish bowl time folks!

>>> I wonder if aerating the water speeds up the rooting process?
I think it should, at least changing the water helps too (think; Oxygen, O2).

Rooting in water is not my favorite way to propagate figs at all.
Our Dr. Al (Tapla) claims that roots developed in water are
different from those developed in the soil.
Sooo, it is like (somewhat) starting-over when potting-up.

BTW, those are some huge fig leaves...

are there fishes in the fish tank? i think i see them on the other corner. so.. the cutting gets water and fertilizer from fish waste.. and roots at the same time. amazing.

Pete, you are smart! He said what you said. :)  He just said he was piss off that one fish ate roots. He saved two of four and enjoyed new way to root in the same concept.

Hi, Airymind
