 Wonderful jungle. Thanks for posting.
I am amazed at the rooting in the bags. They look very strong. I still have to learn how to get this spaghetti type fresh looking roots.

Nice Nelson, Good job. I'm glad to see you have the Saidnaya figs growing for you.

Akram so far I have noticed that the Composted Lamb Manure & Pro-mix HP Mixed with Turface has shown the thickest roots compared to the Miracle grow Professional potting soil and Scott's Professional. I first tried 4 cuttings in the 4 different mixes and thats what I have seen so far but all cuttings rooted in all of the mediums.

Hi Bass, I am very excited about the saidnaya figs and have been babying them ,also have the Beirut Haddad and its doing well its in the first picture I posted in the far back left in that greenish pot.

Nelson great work.  The promix hp has mycoriza in it and I attribute much of the success you and i have had with it to the myco pro.

Looks like I need to make another visit to catch up!

Hi Nelson
The rooting looks good in the narrow tubes as I mentioned. A few questions.
1. What are the dimension (length & diameter) of these tubes.
2. Did you go directly into the plastic tubes or did you go through paper wrap and ziploc first.
3. How many weeks did it take to get these roots
3. Did you get any mold by adding composted lamb manure.

Good job Nelson!  I spent New Years Day starting cuttings in little bags.  I did not get the 8 inch bags; instead I got the 12 inch bags because some of my cuttings were 12 inches and I did not want to cut them in half.  Here are a few.  I also have another container filled with some experimental cuttings but did not post a picture yet.  HOW BOUT THOSE FIGS!!!!!  Cheers,

WOW

Hey Nas, Yup I wouldn't doubt it Pro-mix seems to be the best potting soil we can buy here in Canada I was going to get the BK the bark one to see how that worked but they dont carry the small bags at Plant Products in Brampton. Nas you can by anytime, you know where im at.

Akram I dont know the exact dimentions its the same size Jon uses I will check out the Uline catalog and see what the dimentions are. I put cuttings directly into those baggies with pre wet potting mix I dont try to root them in paper tower or spaghnum first and usually within 2-4 weeks you have roots like that ofcouse there are some that root quicker and others that take their sweet time. All of the ones in the pics were started beginning of december.

Dennis good job, I think the next time I buy more baggies I will try to get one size bigger in width and height, but they work really well and really easy to transfer just cut the button and then side then put it in the 1g pot add a little potting mix and pull the plastic out no roots damaged gotta love that.

Mike, I held back a little this year didnt want it to get too out of hand lol.

Way to go Nelson, like Apnoist said WOW!

Like last season i mentioned to you this,
i see a little room there to squeeze in a few more.  ; )
Your going to be busy soon with those.

Hi Martin, believe it or not last season I had more than double rooting around this time but I had to hold off a bit this year as space has reached its maximum capacity long time ago. I will post updates from time to time.

WOW is right.

Thanks Grant.

Akram found the dimentions for these baggies. Its 3" x 8" wich is a  2 inch Diameter part # from Uline is S-1331 I have rooted cuttings that were 1" in diameter in these baggies with very good results.

Thanks Nelson.
This makes it easy as you mentioned to cut the bag at the bottom and the side to remove without damage plus efficient use of space.

Nelson, yeah no deals getting the pro mix bk (for others info, its peat, bark, perlite, mycorizah, wetting agent, fertilizer and lime) as its a min 4 skid/pallet order.  Uhum, I love figs, but...

I use the HP and simply add mini pine bark nuggets, turface, and granite (for weight mostly) and it pretty much simulates the BK.

BTW-I'll PM you about the visit

Thank you so much for the pictures, it really helps us newbies. I'm very impressed.

Nelson your cuttings look great in the bags. What do you do for drainage? Clip the two bottom corners or what?

Hi Tim yes thats exactly it cut the two corners off on the bottom.
