--- the LARGEST figs you will ever see!!!

This is in an alley of the City of Pasadena, CA, totally unexpected!
I just couldn’t believe what I saw.
Not far from the downtown.

Every leaf has a piece of art listed in one of the photos.
Sorry, didn’t taste the figs, they were not ripe yet and the cuttings were too large to take home :)

Any guess about the variety? :D

Enjoy!

Nice

This could be an idea for a DIY project to put in living room or a balcony.

Thanks

Nice!

Brown Turkey... Definitely Brown Turkey!

Artificial.

That is so neat!

Pretty neat.

That's very nice.  Cities around here also have "artwork" in every alley, but nothing like that!  :-)

Oh to live in a place where "fig art" is commonplace.

certainly a new kind - it is a grapefig variety...

I wonder if the artist meant to make the fig into a vine or just have no idea figs are not vines...
it is beautiful art indeed.
Thanks for sharing!
Great posting.

"Art" tificial is correct.
"gene"

Wow that is  cool

Hi,
Not BT ! BT has 3 lobes and almost no thumbs.
It looks like the hybrid vine from over the pond ( for me ) that is an hybrid between ficus pumila and ficus carica, but the leaves were sort of replaced with the carica leaves or an hybrid between a vine, a carica and an horse-chestnut-tree on the resulting vine.
That's OGM art ! I doubt those are edible :) except perhaps for horses .
Well, this is art . Hard sometimes to understand an artist ! But artists don't care for :) .
