Boy, you really set the stage, FMD!  Can't wait until my Stella cutting produces, now, yum!  My favorite type of fig - green on the outside, crimson or pink inside. 

My brother just sent me some cuttings from a 37yr old fig tree that he planted on his property when he first moved to California.  He is not sure, but he seems to think it's a Stella fig. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and I did'nt know what to name it so I gave it the name:  Tony's Cucamonga Fig........Hope it's a Stella.  LOL

   That is one good looking fig, also very distinctive shape. It should be very easy to tell if my Cucamonga fig is really a Stella or not..........once it starts to produce.  Or maybe I'll just ask my brother to send me a picture of the figs on his tree.  Keeping fingers crossed for a "Stella".

FMD, you either need a good woman, or some warmer weather. The off season seems to be causing hallucinations.

LOL.  I agree with Jon, and I'd recommend the former.  I've heard of the sexual symbolism about figs, but as much as I like figs the only time I find them sexy is when I'm sharing them with a good woman.  My wish for you is what Jon said (and I don't mean warmer weather).

My first Paradiso Gene from this year. Had everything I was looking for. Great taste, good look, honey inside, crack on the skin, light green outside with touch of red inside. But sexy? I think Black Madeira comes close to sexy as possible. Then I saw Maltese Beauty...
