Not the Turkey I was expecting to see lol Hope they hang around until the Holidays

I can tell you they love my blueberry bushes. Let's hope they don't eat figs.

Barry I've eaten wild turkey before and I love it but it's a bit gamey and dark with small amounts of breast meat. I'd rather eat a goose for xmas but if offered a fresh killed wild turkey for thxgiving I'd cook it up in a heartbeat. I'd lay a piece of bacon on each breast to help moisten it up a bit and offset any gamey flavor as it's the older gobblers folks hunt and occasionally give away. I hope they stay just because I find them very amusing. Although I do hunt at times I wouldn't shoot these as I think of them as pets already. I feel vastly different about the herd of deer that lives in my yard and those very tasty squirrels who steal figs. BTW fig stuffed squirrel does sound tasty. Throw a few pine nuts in there with a touch of very dark bourbon. hmm hmm good.

Not so far luke but they were about 20 feet behind me while I was picking figs and they were scolding me. It was pretty funny. As they are very very smart birds I'm sure they'd figure it out sooner or later.

Cool birds!  We have a few feral turkeys in our area, but not the native birds. I'd love to taste one some day.

As to photoshopping one of them, here you go...  ;)

Best BTs I have ever seen. Maybe with a nice fig glaze or sauce?

Ah, Gina nice job.
Fig glaze? Absolutely.

Thanks. Truth be known, I don't do real 'photoshop'. But I love a good roast bird. :)

As for fig glaze - that sounds so good. I can hardly wait till we have 'too many figs' and I can do some serious experiments in the kitchen.

Here's some brown turkeys with a brown turkey.

I just ate some White Paradisios and they'd make a great glaze.
