Came across this fantastic solution to all my fungus gnat problems on eBay. One packet should suffice to not only take care of fungus gnats but if the the plants get big enough, should be able to take a squirrel or three (and possibly even an annoying neighbor...)

I have one solution for fungus gnats.  Move plant outside :)

I did use diatomaceous earth, it works ok.

I agree... moving plants outside is the ultimate goal but slow measured steps to avoid sunburn, severe humidity changes, frosts / freezes, etc make  the fungus gnats a continuing reality for the short term..
