Theft of Fig Trees

Quote:
Did you ever see the fireworks that explode when you simply pull the strings on each side of a firecracker?
Attach one string to the plant (or pot) and the other to a base. When the plant is lifted an inch, a small explosion goes off. This startles the thief and awakens the homeowner.

Lol, during our final training mission drill sergeant rigged a flash bang grenade to our flag just like that. We shot (bang bang) this kid like ten times but he decided he was not dead and would have that flag anyway. So it goes bang, they are pretty loud, and his drill sergeant starts yelling at him to take the flag back, that he is a dead duck, but the kid just keeps running and running. Then our drill sergeant says "he can't here you" and we all are rolling around on the ground laughing, it took a good ten minutes for our flag to return so I think that guy made it all the way home! Good times ; )

Craigslist-  number one way of potentially getting ripped off at a future point.
Invite  a stranger to your home and show him your inventory.

Ebay -  listing the address where you fig trees are actually located,
ie, selling from your home/back yard.  Anybody can look up this information.

Security cameras are easily defeated with a hat or mask in many cases.
Theft of plant material is usually not a high priority of most police forces.
